Mary FrazierI developed an extended learning unit on gravity for my 7th grade science class. They were given a choice of selecting their area of strength to develop their project from : History, English, Science, or Math. The project was difficult, but the students enjoyed the challenge mostly because they chose how to complete it. This winter I developed an INTEL Teach to the FUTURE learning unit on the electromagnetic spectrum for middle school students. My methods of teaching this unit rely heavily on the HPR*TEC resources.

I'm not sure I have one area of strength but I really love what I am able to do with QuizStar. The time QuizStar saves me in assessing and re-teaching content makes it the most valuable HPR*TEC resource for me! I enjoy designing my own courseware as well as utilizing internet based content to complement my curriculum. I am using many of the HPR*TEC resources such as TrackStar, QuizStar, RubiStar, ThinkTank, PBL Checklists, and NoteStar along with the standards to help enrich my teaching and extend learning opportunities for all my students.

Technology has provided a breath of newness to my many years of teaching. Technology makes it easier to teach more students with customized lessons based on their individual learning styles and special needs.
