The Learning Associate Network (LAN) is designed to foster collaboration, resource sharing, dissemination of information, and professional development about educational technology for teachers, administrators, and technology coordinators of all levels through the country. LAN is an ALTec project whose Associates have experience and expertise with HPR*TEC resources.

ALTec's mission, as the awardee for HPR*TEC and other technology initiatives, is to help teachers and other educators to create, share, and find solutions to problems they encounter when integrating technology into education.

The LAN Web site allows Associates and others the opportunity to engage in professional development activities:

• share resources about educational technology;
• conduct or participate in dynamic online training workshops;
• keep abreast of the latest educational technology news with Edlines, HPR*TEC's online news bureau;
• attend professional development workshops sponsored by ALTec;
